2010 Summer Market Update

The summer market has begun and the number of listings has dwarfed the number of sales for the third consecutive month. When inventory levels begin to swell for this period of time, we anticipate a strong decline in the near future.  As you know, we live in a global economy and the  effects of other countries play a major role in our real estate market.

The global turmoil in Europe, oil spill crisis, and slowdown in the Asian market have contributed to the slowdown in the Vancouver Real Estate Market.

 

  • SELLING IN TODAY'S MARKET

Selling in today’s market takes a courageous approach. A seller with a leadership mentality is the only seller that will have success moving their property in today’s market. You need to price sharp and be ahead of the curve in order to attract buyers with confidence to buy. Fear with pricing sharp will cause you to miss your window of opportunity and chase the market down.

These times of adjustments in the real estate market create opportunities.  Anytime prices are down, they normally gain tremendous equity when prices increase.
